Jacinto & Lirio is a Filipino social enterprise that transforms invasive water hyacinth into sustainable plant leather goods. What began as a response to an environmental challenge has grown into a purpose-driven brand rooted in eco-innovation, thoughtful design, and Filipino craftsmanship.

By working with lakeside communities in Rizal and Laguna, we help create livelihood opportunities through the harvesting, drying, and handcrafting of water hyacinth into meaningful products that carry both purpose and heritage.

Our Journey Began in 2009

Jacinto & Lirio began in 2009 as an Ateneo student enterprise project exploring the potential of underutilized Philippine materials.

After discovering the impact of invasive water hyacinth, the founders transformed it into a leather-like material—combining sustainability, Filipino craftsmanship, and livelihood opportunities.

What started as a student idea soon grew into a purpose-driven social enterprise.
