Alamat ng Saging: The love between Maria Maganda and a strange prince grew into what we know today as "Saging." She was picking flowers near her Kingdom when she met the prince, and they fell in love. However, the prince admitted to coming from a different world. Out of selfless love, he couldn't bring the princess with him. Maria Maganda tried to stop him, but she was only left with his two hands. Terrified, the princess buried his love's hands, which grew into the only fruit that bears heart.

Alamat ng Pinya: Pina was Aling Rosa’s only child. She was so loved and adored that she wasn’t made to do work in the house. But a mother, like any other human being, becomes weak. This is what Aling Rosa forgot. When she got sick, Pina was forced to do work in the house. She made mistakes but Aling Rosa understood for a time. But when Pina couldn’t find the “sandok,” Aling Rosa got angry and wished for Pina to have many eyes. Regretfully, her wish came true. Pina turned into what we know today as “Pinya.”
